Their tagline says it all. Mac has made a function that makes it easy for users to create a personal site. Although having some limitations, it is perfect for creating a customized webspace for non-web-designers. Although targeted towards mac users who want to post pictures, videos, and tell their personal story, it can easily be used for professional purposes.
You do however need to choose a “theme” or “template” and if not chosen right, your site can come off as cheesy and really, for lack of a better term, lame. However there are some templates that keep your look clean and professional. Instead of working with divtags, hashtags, ’s and much more, the user customizes their layout with easy-to-use tools. They have to option to drag photos and videos in the places they choose without working with any HTML code.
If someone lacks the time and expertise for web design iWeb is a fantastic way to get their site on its feet.
