Just In Time For The Holidays!

This semester is flying by so fast...and since we don't have our final for this class until December 23rd, it is going to be a struggle to get all of my Christmas shopping done in time! I don't know about the rest of you, but it is always hard for me to find the perfect gift for some people. After looking through the Memory Makers site once again, I found a how-to download that has come to my rescue: Make your own gift-card holders. Gift cards are a common present to give/receive during the holidays, but now is the time to personalize them a bit. I just downloaded this how-to project, and am really excited to put it to good use, and TRY to make my gifts a bit more exciting! There are 6 simple steps to follow, and only 6 necessary items needed to create the basic project without your own personalized touch. Once you have the basic holder done, you can embellish it anyway you want, depending on the recipient and the occasion.

Here is the example the how-to download features...this one was made for a bride-to-be. But by simply changing the materials you use, (paper, embellishments, etc.) this can easily be transformed into a theme for the holidays, such as a winter wonderland by using a shimmery cream-colored cardstock, and snowflake embellishments. There are many possibilities, be creative!

  2. This is adorable! What I got out of your presentation last week is that this website is easy to use and shares many simple, step-by-step projects. I also think the site's user connectivity (which you mentioned) is one of the most appealing parts of the website. Allowing users to contribute content is getting more and more popular and is the basis for many websites. Just think what YouTube would be if people decided not to contribute content.

  3. Kristin..thanks for sharing this! I always have trouble buying gifts for my sister for Christmas (even though she makes the.longest.christmas.lists.ever.) I'm going to look more into this--I think it would be great for her. Very creative and can be specific to anyone!
