Laker's first 3 games

Now that the NBA season has finally gotten underway, I discussed on www.forumblueandgold.com about the Laker's first three games. Not only did they win, but they looked like a championship team doing it...once again. There were 3 things that I noticed from their first three games that are facts: 1), Even after an off-season knee surgery, Kobe continues to perform better than any other player in the league. His focus, agility, and trust with his teammates were leading factors to their victories over the week / weekend. 2), Everyone is on the same page in that each player came to win. No one is out for personal records or recognition, but simply 1 ring and 1 trophey to hoist up together in June. These first three games were played selflessly and together. Without that, no talent big enough in the world can get you a championship, (just ask LeBron). Finally, 3), the Lakers are playing at a level of percision and confidence that no other team has in the NBA right now. OKC is up and coming, but not there yet; Miami has 3 kings and 12 pawns; and Boston got beat out by a LeBron-less Cleveland, (not making much of a statement there).

I asked a question at the end of my blog with the hopes that someone will respond to my post and we can start up a debate of some kind. If you have anything to say, please feel free to respond on here or on forumblueandgold.com.

Final Question: What more must happen to ensure a championship? This is a team of scattered injuries, (Bynum, Luke, Kobe, etc…) which could affect tight games. Do you limit minutes, or simply don’t fix anything that isn’t broken yet?

  1. So you posted all of that information on your sports forum? What happened? Did you in fact spark a debate like you wanted, or was the comment ignored more or less? I wonder if the traffic on your webpage will actually go up now that the Lakers have won a few games. Adversely, do you think that you will see any negative comments on the forum from fans from other teams?
