Practicum-Scott Zinovoy

ARIS is built around the idea of its users being the creators. Of course Aris needs people to play, but without an abundance of games/activities, Aris could fail. One of the goals of Aris is to attract people through game-play with the hopes of making that person a game creator down the line. After going to the demo, I can say that many of the games are created by the same few people. I think the creators of Aris would like this to end and the true gamers to take over the concept. Here are a few questions to consider:

Where do you see Aris going in the future--with potential links with businesses and other GPS based products?
Would you play Aris? Why or Why not?
Would you be interested in creating your own games?

  1. I think Aris should hook up with that new humans vs zombie deal on campus. The Aris map could have safe zones or forts for the humans. The humans could check in then at the locations so others would know if it was a good defensive location. I've seen people coordinating on their cells... maybe these nerds would jump on Aris? (I may or may not be one of these nerds)

  2. just saw this comment now, but yea I could see that
Aris really isnt about checking in, but like I said in my presentation if they could somehow figure in line of sight, then it could open up a whole new world of game possibilities.
