thelakersnation.com supersedes every other blog and forum I have encountered while working on this practicum project. It is the first website that attracts true fans with knowledge, insight, and intellect about the game and the organization. It is hosted by Fox Sports, and because the majority of Laker games are broadcasted on FSN, (Fox Sports Net), I believe that most of the bloggers on The Lakers Nation are loyal fans that stick to the same source of information.
The site is structured with up-to-date information pertaining to injuries, game previews, and a "Shout Box:" an open chat that allows for small and condensed comments from anyone that signs up (free of charge). Even though this chat is very informal, it is a great place to give a quick shout out.
The Lakers Nation does a great job targeting its broadcast audience through verticle integration. It includes links to Fox Sports radio stations and podcasts about the Lakers where the public can watch and listen to television and radio clips. The Lakers Nation is the BEST nation!!!
