Personally, I think these two sites are pretty different. Yes, they both focus on video, but I guess my use for them is very different. I view YouTube as a place where you can quick listen to a song, watch a funny clip, as well as many other things. I think that YouTube is more controlled by normal people like you and me, since basically anyone can post a video on the site.
Hulu, on the other hand, is something more focused on episodes, movies, and clips for the viewer to watch. These things might be on YouTube, but I feel like Hulu is more professional and controlled by a higher power. I really like Hulu, I watch TV episodes on it a lot, but I really don't like how long it takes to load things (if I want to watch a movie or something). Also, they only provide the last five episodes of any given show so sometime that gets frustrating. What I do like about Hulu over YouTube is the quality. Since it is so controlled, the content on average is a lot better.
I like both of these sites, I guess that I just use them for different reasons. I would say I use YouTube a lot more than Hulu.
