Final Laker Thoughts

Because this is my last post for my practicum project, I am going to take this opportunity to lay out my ideal Laker fansite. The 3 biggest parts I would want in my fansite would be the following:

First, it would only be for true fans, not like Facebook where mediocre fans post meaningless cheers for the team. I am all for team support, but let's make it a bit more personal than simply writing "LAKERS RULE!" The site would attract fans by posting Laker news from prominent sources like the LA Times, ESPN, SI, and more.

Second, the forum would include 2 separate sections: 1 for previews of games, and another for immediate post-game reactions. These sections would be under an "archive" link of past games tracking back multiple seasons so bloggers can go to specific games and read the "before" and "after" for that night.

Third, you would have to sign up and pay an initial fee to be a member; however, that would get you access to ticket lotteries (you could randomly be selected to win Laker tickets each week), guaranteeing members at least 1 win every season, significant discounts on Laker merchandise sold on the site, and chances to attend other Laker events without paying. The one time initial fee does not disclude the public from reading and writing on the site, it is only to win stuff and receive discounts.

I hope you all enjoyed reading about my interaction with the different Laker blogs, forums, and sites. With that said... LAKERS RULE!!!
