I got a couple emails the other day: apparently I have two followers now on Digg. I can't tell if they followed me because I started following things they like or if they just found my not-so-numerous comments funny. Either way, I'm pretty psyched. I definitely didn't realize my profile had yet made any sort of impact in the Digg community. It's cool to think that new members like myself can find followers so quickly in such a large online community without really knowing anyone personally. The only person on reddit with whom I have a real connection, I can't really talk to because that would violate the sacred rules of secret santa.
My Redditgifts target is going to receive something most people would kill for. Yes, you guessed it: a Jesus action figure, purchased at Pipefitters. I was going to get him Beethoven, but Jesus had glow in the dark hands so I had to get it. I assume that whoever got my name and address is going to send me something related to Reddit or some bacon. I'm kinda hoping that someone sends me some personal artwork - a lot of people post their own creations and they're almost always really good. Like this guy's artwork: www.geremygeorge.com
^this guy posted a thread a couple days ago offering free prints of his work; much to my dismay, I found the thread an hour after he closed the offer. Oh well - I'm excited to see what I'll get for Redditchristmas.
