I personally interacted with people on my two main sites (cancerkids.org and CaringBridge.com) in a few ways. I found a forum that I communicated with one someone about a personal topic that was relevant to my life. I actually feel like I connected with this person, since she had a daughter who was going through the same thing I experienced. I personally participated more in this website than the CaringBridge, since I found CaringBridge to be more personal (people who commented tended to know the person). However, there was one story that really touched me.

It was a story about a little boy who found out he has a very aggressive cancer that has spread to many parts of his body. Along with this, he also has cerebral palsy. My heart went out to him and his family, and I emailed the "author" of the site (aka his mother). I just told her my story and how the story of her son compelled me to contact her. She emailed me back and told me she was very grateful for the support, she seemed glad I reached out to her.
