I-Dosing is Dumb

I chose to watch an I-Dosing video because I've already seen my fair share of penises on Chat Roulette (unfortunately), I've left my Myspace days waaaaay in the past, and who doesn't want to trip out on drugs without actually doing the drugs? But I-Dosing? Come on People. First of all, I find the whole concept behind I-Dosing extremely stupid. When I googled the term to find a video I could "trip out" on, so many videos were of people having "bad trips" or of an "I-Dosing FREAK OUT!!!"

I have a little brother who has just started high school, and I've heard SO many stories about kids in his grade pretending to be drunk off of drinking too many energy drinks, or acting like they are "high" off of the stupidest things, just so they can seem cool. I-Dosing seems like one of these things. I watched YouTube's "Millenium Bug" video, and was promised the "ultimate" I-Dosing experience"... Maybe I'm just not the type of person who can trip off of an I-Dosing experience (I'm still bitter about failing to see the image in a Magic Eye book), but this "crazy" video was simply techno music paired with one of those iTunes visualizer type deals. The swirly colors made me feel sleepy and a little bit hypnotized, but I definitely didn't trip out. The comments below the video were equally absurd-- "WOW!!!!! I was tripping balls! :))))))))" and "When did my hands get 12 fingers" were some of my favorites. But honestly, not that I condone drug use (Just say no, kids)... this just seems like a way for kids to pretend to trip out on drugs without actually doing drugs.

Some people might find this to be a gateway to actual drug use, but personally, I think it might just offer a nice alternative for kids who want to send this video around to their friends, no matter how lame or pathetic it may be.
