LinkedIn and Facebook seem to come up with multiple Sarah Ottens including my own, but the most interesting thing I came across was a definition on urban dictionary in which my name was tagged. I knew the description was specific to me because it listed my hometown of Oconomowoc, WI in the title!
Other Sarah Ottens were listed in both an obituary and a wedding planned for June. Apparently there was another girl with my same name (who's mail I used to get in the dorms) who is involved in Optima dance, a UW-Madison Student Org for Dance and Choreography.
Finally, I made a real connection when I stumbled upon a list of trophy winners for a sailing regatta I participated in back in 2002. I won the best female skipper trophy in my division sailing on Lake Okiboji, Iowa. It was funny to find the first real news about myself on the third Google page of my search results!
