So I haven't been keeping up as well as I should with blogging about my practicum. So I'll fill you guys in. Mine is on social/political activism, so I decided to choose cancer, childhood cancer in particular. I was looking into sites and Facebook groups, and I learned a lot of information. I checked out some general sites, LIVESTRONG as well as Candlelighters, and then I kept looking.
I really am interested in reading survivor stories. It amazes me how strong some of these kids can be! Here is one that I really liked...

A lot of the sites that I went to were very directed towards parents awareness and knowledge for them. However, I wanted to look for sites more directed at children. After searching for awhile, I found this website....

This website was very kid friendly, with "Captain Chemo" to help the child through the site by learning things through "Adventures" and games that they can play. I'm really glad that I found this site, because I want to explore it more...
