After doing a little searching through the discussion forum, I realized that the actual physical Memory Makers magazine no longer exists. It was shut down last year for what seems to be due to a financial reason. Responses to the termination of the magazine were highly negative, since so many users relied on that magazine as a helpful scrapbooking resource. An editor of the magazine explained in the forum that
It is early yet to speak about the changes that will come, but we will keep the website up and running as a direct communication tool to reach the scrapbooking community. We very much value our readers, our forum members, and will keep memorymakersmagazine.com alive as a meeting place for scrapbookers, so long as the demand is there.

Although consumers showed dissatisfaction with the discontinuation of the printed version, I think that many people don't realize the potential of the website, and what a great alternative it really is. It adds the whole "community" aspect, which allows any or all users to share their ideas instantly, or ask questions without dealing with the hassle of mailing in a letter, or calling the magazine editors. People like "sassy" who has posted 7,856 times wouldn't have the ability to do so if it was not for the online option.
