Video game consoles have been around since the early 1970s and have become increasingly more popular especially in recent years. In the late 90's with the continued rise of the internet, online gaming started to take off on the PC. Video game consoles started offering online gaming soon afterward. Since then, there has been an explosion in networked console gaming. Xb0x 360, PS3 and the Wii all have online capabilities. Some questions to think about going into to tomorrow presentation are:
Why has networked console gaming become to popular?
Is there a cultural/economic divide associated with it?
Is networked gaming a fad or will it continue to have a large following?
