So the WoW world has been growing on me greatly. Today I got into a fight and won my first battle! It was pretty epic. It seems as though my time in the forest has been paying off and my character is growing stronger. I shouldnt feel too proud because the character I beat was just starting off. While I have a little bit more experience than him, he didn't stand a chance. Basically it was like me in every other fight. You dont see many people just starting out in this game, most people have high ranks and have been playing it for awhile. Leading into the presentation this is what I felt was important to talk about.
Here are some questions to think about for tomorrows presentation...
What is the appeal to online gaming?
Would you play online games with your friends?
Congrats on your first win! I'm not sure what WoW is like, but in Second Life (my practicum project) there are definitely negative connotations associated with being an identifiable newbie. I totally understand how great it feels when you finally succeed at something in your virtual world/community.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, if you've never seen the "Leeroy Jenkins" WoW video on YouTube... look it up.
