A Whole New World

As I've become more involved with my own blog, I've started to branch out more and explore other blogs on the blogosphere. The more time I spend, the more I feel like this arena of the Internet serves as a type of online magazine. People write about whatever they feel is important to themself (and with the size of the online arena, chances are their subject is important to someone else as well), or whatever they feel is important for the public to know. There are blogs about apartment decorating and politics, candy making and gay marriage. I personally prefer the interactive nature of the blogosphere to the one-directional nature of traditional magazines, but I do appreciate that in official magazines the writers are held to a certain standard of credibility and are checked by editors and other staff.
