The main differences between YouTube and Hulu are the source of the video and advertising. YouTube's videos are uploaded by individuals with content varying from... just about anything. Many of YouTube's videos are home videos, edited movie clips, trailers, music, etc. Advertising seems to be based on repeated video watching and on physical location of the viewer. For example, I was only made to watch an advertisement after I had watched a view videos. Also, advertising was local every so often. Hulu's videos are put on the website by studios or companies with content usually including TV shows, movies, and trailers. Before every video is an advertisement which usually includes "This video is brought to you buy..." The the video is longer such as a TV show or movie, the video is broken up into clips with advertisements throughout.
