Any suggestions? " I dramatized the situation of course...I was going for a reaction. However, seven responses later, I discovered that their ideas were not that great...the most memorable includes peanut butter and jelly smoothy (right. because if I'm already sick of it I'd much rather enjoy it liquified.) Listen to this one: "
Heat up a few corn tortillas on a dry skillet. spread them w/ a little mayo or mustard or both. Add some sliced avocado, sprouts, cucumber and pickled onions. sprinkle with a little seasoning salt. They'll be good now or later." I'm not that picky of an eater...but that, to me, does not sound good.Oh and, I think I discovered a mole on epicurious. I briefly spoke of my experiences in the EpiChat during my presentation, and every time I’ve logged on over the course of the semester, whether during the day or during obscure hours of the night, GinsuGirl has been there to greet me. I’ve asked once or twice under different names whether she is paid to be there, and the response has been the brush off, “hah. No, but maybe I should be.” I feel like the viewers of lonelygirl15, betrayed by this false sense of members just hanging out to talk about food because I know there is someone who is supposed to be there who will immediately greet me and talk to me. So much for legitimate community!
I just thought it was interesting to consider the concept of a false community, and how that makes people feel. Well, that's all for now. See you all in class.
