Casual Gaming

I had been poking around in playing a few casual games on Kongregate and decided to incorporate some points from Jesper Juuls' article The Casual Revolution into my practicum paper.

These games usually lack any significant narrative, are quick to learn, and have relatively simple mechanics. On Kongregate there are games under the genres of puzzle, time-management, and hidden objects.

Here are a few of the games I dabbled in under the category of puzzles:
These were all short games that were pretty easy to get the hang of. These types of games would be really easy to incorporate into every day life. I found it interesting that women above the age of 18 make up a larger number of gamers than boys within the same age category. I have certainly played into this statistic over the past semester!
