Elements of Kongregate

A few new points of interest in tracking the online gaming world of Kongregate.

I've started playing a new game called elements. I enjoy this game because you play against other players within the Kongregate system. It is a card game where each player uses it's best cards in order to take points away from the other player, reducing their health to zero. Each player has a special element or suit from which most of their deck's cards originate. Therefore, one player may a water element deck and play against an earth element deck. There are different strategies best suited to each element that gives it advantages or disadvantages over others. Here's an example of what the game looks like.
After the game (if you've won,) you get to play a sort of slot machine game adding more points to your final score.
Another element (no pun intended) is that I'm noticing more and more ads being incorporated into the Kongregate website. For example as I was loading this game a World of Warcrafts advertisement appeared for about 15 seconds as the game was loading. This reminded me of the Aliens and Zombies game we had to play a couple weeks ago. Although, I much preferred these ads because they don't interrupt your games as you go through each level.

I had a break through in terms of being social in the Kongregate system. I had someone add me ad a friend! Very exciting news. I'm pretty sure he's a newbie but I won't complain! Maybe I'll try to find him in a chatroom or send him a message with some tips.
