A little flawed.

This data is going to be a little flawed because I pretty much had no computerized access this whole weekend because I was on a cruise in the Bahamas!!! Not too happy to come home to this weather let me tell you...anyway I just got home, and one of the first things I did was open my computer. I checked the ridiculous amounts of email I had missed, just so that I could get caught up on everything. I ended up not bringing my phone with me on the trip so I instantly turned that on and looked through all the text messages I missed. I also listened to my ipod on the plane to pass the long travel time. Although I was disconnected from the Internet, and didn't have my phone, I felt GREAT about it. Everyone else that I was with brought their phone with them, and were constantly checking their email, playing on facebook, texting, etc. so I got a little annoyed because it was VACATION, aka a time to leave everything at home and just have fun and relax.

Being away from technology that I use daily really gave me a reality check about how technology-driven we are. I think that this has become incorporated into vacation time now too because on the cruise ship there was even a booth that people could take pictures and post them on their facebook wall and write comments on it in order to show all of their facebook friends how fun their trip was. This was a great way for people to stay connected to their friends/family when they can't get service on their phones while crusin' the ocean. A pretty great idea if you want my opinion!
